Self Portraits
Creating this photo I held the phone using the front camera. The camera came with some filters so I decided to use the black and white one because I'm not a big fan of it (never used it) and wanted to try something out new. The location wasn't special, just in my bedroom. It was dark out, shades were closed and I had a lamp on the side of me making the photo more brighter. On that day, I was just wearing a tie dyed shirt, I decided not to change and put on some more make up trying to create a deer with myself. The thing about this photo is that I took this by accident, when I saw this I couldn't help myself but to like it a lot and decided to put it here. What I like about this is that how it captures contrast, shadows and texture. You can tell my hair is a mess seeing them coming out on the side shot, you cannot see my eyes-of course, but you can see the dark circle and how the black and white filter brings it out more. The background isn't the the best because the walls isn't that special and you see see the texture. Could be better if I had a white back drop. The successful thing about this photo, like I've said, is the accident. Yes, it was taken mistakenly but that's what I like about it and also capturing the side (bottom) view. I like how every single things stick out: shirt, hair, dark circle, and beauty mark.
